Hello all, I am new here and have a 1989 Prelude Si that needs a new A/C compressor. Anyone have any suggestions where to look?

Thanks. I was hoping to find an OEM replacement but the local Honda dealer said they quit making those parts 10 years ago. Auto zone it is.

 

No need for an OEM replacement, all you need is a replacement, the OEM is a (MATSUSHITA) and the four seasons is a Sanden or a reman Keihin both come with a one year warranty.

The Performance Rad one is a REMAN; MATSUSHITA; NL1300AA4, so an OEM reman, also with a one year warranty.

With any of the above a new filter/dryer must be installed, [$12 at Performance Rad] for warranty.

You will also have to retrofit your 89 R12 system to the newer R134a system. 94
