I burn about a quart if oil every 1000-1500 miles...Car runs strong...doesnt smoke..no leaks...What do you think it could be?...Compression and leak down test on the way...Its a 00 b16 in a eg...also I added some RESTORER oil additive....guess well see what happens

also when i check the oil it seems to be low on the dip stick....but when i put the dip stick in and turn it...it comes out showing that my oil level is fine....any thoughts

 

i would just do the leak down test.

 

hey you ****...i guess i'll help you cause im a nice guy...

your rings are probly shot, compression is going past the rings, into the crankcase, causing positive crankcase pressure. Its pushing the oil into the head and out anywhere it can go. Its going out the PCV valve on the valve cover, into your intake mani and burning it. Do a leakdown test to comfirm this.

also could be headgasket related, check your coolant, do you have little beads of oil in it?
