Default Building block for B18...please look..

what are my options as far as block that would work for my B18C1 motor ?
I am trying to get a spare block to send out for rebuilding to minimize downtime.
so will B16, B20, B18(non VTEC) will work ? and if so any other modification needed ?

I am kind new on the internals work so need all the help and opinions I can get...

as you know, finding a used B18C (1 or 5 ) is very hard to come by....in the mean time I kept on seeing a cheap pricing on B16 or B20..

any helps would be appreciated..

edit: I am sorry if I was not too clear, I am planning on keeping my stock B18C1 head and will be upgrading the piston and rod, so the question is which block with crank will work for my B18C1 head.?

No, no and no.

The GSR and ITR are the most similar.

What exactly do you want to do with the GSR? And you're going to leave the head stock???

Elaborate please.

Are you wanting an LS/Vtec or CR-Vtec or dear god I don't no cuz that post didn't make much sense. A B18C1 head will go on any B series block the question is how much torque do you want and how high do you wann a rev? Its all up to budget.

I am planning to build the block as far as resleeving with ductile iron sleeves, decking and O-ring...possibly knife edged the crank as well...
I am running boost (turbo) and was planning on getting a set of lower compression piston and rod.

thanks for the reply..btw
