Send your head to Portflow and have them P&P your head...they can change out all of the items for you, and you'll have a pretty good increase in the midrange.

The whole point in getting the springs and retainers is for a new cam.

Your stock assembly is more than sufficient for the stock cam.

I thought you were planning on getting new cam(s) already.

Your cams should be the first purchase. Get whatever springs go with the cams you get. If you get hype-r cams get hype-r springs. Toda cams, toda springs. See, its easy.

It's can start to damage things. Vavle adjustments are cake......I did my first one in an hour (took my time) now I can do them in about 20 minutes.

Now, follow my link below and see how easy it is.......how to/valve adjustment.

How bad is it that I still drive my car if I can hear a slit jitter (only) when I pass like 2000 RPMS... It's faint but you can hear it... I don't feel a power loss... But I also wouldn't really know... I shift at 3k, just to avoid ******* my engine...
That sounds more like detination to me... Have you checked your timing, etc..., also what octane are you using...

Try using a screw driver, or short peice of hose. Put the flat end of the screw driver, or one end of the hose on the valve cover. The handle, or other end of the hose against your ear and listen. Move it around and listen for the clicking. You should hear which ones are making the most noise...

If you go to siffer valve springs (without changing the cam) your going to lose power IMO.

I changed the springs, retainers, to some aftermarket ones and put the stock cams back in (Long story...I won't get into it now).

I'm certain I've lost some power but I haven't verified it yet on a dyno.
