breaking up when I step on the gas.
When I get on the throttle it breaks up considerably. Its definitely electrical. I have a aftermarket ignition. A CRANE ignition with CRANE ps92 coil. I believe it may be my coil that's going. Its a few years old. Anybody else encounter this problem?
Here's my other problem. I just rebuitl the engine with high (12.5:1+) compression and I can't seem to get the idle to raise beyond 600 rpm. Any ideas? Map Sensor?
TIA

What I mean when it breaks up is when I step o n it , its like the ignition is not able to provide spark or something, under partial throttle it seems to be alright but when i get on it, it goes pop pop pop. its really a pain in the ***.
I'm gonna look for a stock coil to put in the distributor to see if that clears it up. I replaced the distributor about a year ago, I don't think it would be the ignitor but ya never know. thanks for the help.
How can I check to see if its the ignitor?
