Default breaking up under boost?

So my integra has been sitting for a while. I finally got it running by replacing the distributor, and since then at around 8-10psi it stops making power. Theres almost a gurgling sound. Its never did this before the distributor change. Its idling fine, spools fine, and feels good until about 8psi. Its a odb1 converted from obd0 b18a, with an obd1 b16 distributor. any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

Plug gap is at .30, and base ignition timing is set at 16. I would have to call my tuner to datalog the event. I was kinda hoping to solve this problem before I called him out here.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but for what ever reason its doing the same thing again. The plugs are now down to .18, is there anyway this could be related to distributor?

I cleaned the cap and rotor w/ sandpaper and the same things happening. I may pick up a new cap and rotor tomorrow just to try it out. This is a used distributor that I have on there as well.

What's the condition of the coil? It sounds like you are having to make things easier on it in order for it to continue working. There is also an ignitor in the distributor, they tend to go bad at times too. A high load from a bad or bigger coil can make them go bad too. You should measure the resistance of the coil and see if it's up to par.
