Default breaking in the 2.0

I just got my car back today 2.0 b18c1 resleeved by darton. I got a quaiffe put in as well. The guy at the shop seated the rings and did an oil change already. I drove my car home today and it makes a very quiet whinning sound when I push on the gas. it also sounds a little rough, like I think its the pistons but I let it warm up and every thing for 15 min before driving it, but they seem to still make some noise. Is this all normal and Im just worrying for nothing, or is there something I need to do. THANKS

-chris wagner.

What kind of injectors are your running with that 2.0?

I think bigger injecters can be a little louder that stock, for the opening and closing.

Is it a "knocking" sound, or a "Ticking" sound.

The best think to do is probably to ask the shop what the sound is from. I'm sure the checked out the engine and listened to it to make sure it was ok. If it was making that noise from the start, they probably know what it is.

Don't really have any advice or ideas about the whinning except, again... ask the shop.

Is it now fitted with forged pistons? They can be quite noisy...

Yea I think its just the forged pistons because a friend of mine got a 2.0 with forged pistons and a new valvtrian( which is the same mods I made) and he said it was pretty much the same. so im not really worried n e more. I havent hit vtec (got it yesterday at 8 PM but I have 300 miles already, drove up to LA then down to San Diego. then a melo canyon run not exceeding 4500 rpms. cant wait till this weekend when I get to 500 and get everything adjusted and then get to drive a little quicker!
