Default Braking distanse and thread mark

OK will 17 inch rims and low profile tire increase braking distance and leave more of a thread mark in the road when braking hard. I would think to becouse aren't low pro tire like pirellis the thread wears faster. can some one help me out here

Depends on the tires and the DIameter of the the tire doesn't increase braking distance the width does!

Actually now that I think about it 17's would probably decrese your braking distance because of the added weight of the rims......Esecially if they are chrome.
