Default Brake Rotors/Pads issue

I just installed new rotors and EBC greenstuff pads and I have a few questions. This is my first time doing this so I have that "I fucked up feeling"

a) How long should it take to break in with both new pads and rotors?
b) I have a slight squeeling problem, I used blue goo between the pad and the shim but it still does it, it this normal for this particular pad?

Thanks! I would post a pic of my install but it is 278 kb!

when you installed the new rotors, did you have an oily, greasy film on them? if you did, i hope you cleaned it off with some brake cleaner or carb cleaner. if you didn't then you may as well get another set of pads and take those rotors off. i am not sure if that will cause the squeeling, but it will catch on fire if you are not careful.

usually when the pads squeek, it is because they are junky pads. i would take them off and make sure they aren't destroying your rotors. they could be too hard a pad for the rotors too.

i guess if i were you i would just take the tires off and check out the pads and rotors just to see if they are not wrecked.

hmmm

Okay, thanks I'll try that. I did clean off the rotors before I installed them.
