Default Brake lights stopped working! help!

I've got a '90 Civic STD w/ a B16a. This problem has nothing to do with the swap b/c it happened before the swap was done.
The problem is that my talilights do not light up when I push the brake pedal. None of them. They DO light up when I turn on my headlights or parking lights, but only the running lights. The brake lights or 3rd brake light WILL NOT light up. I did have to replace a fuse under the hood for the taillights when this first happened b/c it blew, but when I replaced it, it didn't fix the problem. And the new fuse has not blown. Also, I replaced the brake light switch with a new one from AutoZone. This still didn't fix the problem. I have checked all of the bulbs and they are all good, and also all of the wiring, and nothing seams to be loose or open. I'm not very good with electrical so I can't do much and I don't know what to look for. My car is gutted so I can see all the wires.

Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it or what it could be? Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

The stoplamp fuse isn't the same as the tail lamp fuse. They run differently. I believe it's tied in with another circuit like the gauge cluster. Check ALL of your fuses, you should find one w/o a stop lamp discription which is blown, replace it, it should take care of things.

Did you check your "stop/horn" fuse?

Yeh, the fuse that was blown was the "stop/horn" fuse. Because I remember my horn not working. When I replaced that fuse, the horn now works, but the lights don't. Hasn't blown the fuse again though.

I'm gonna do like he said and check ALL fo my fuses. I checked the ones that I thought would have something to do with the lights, but checking them all deffinatly can't hurt.

Thanx for the help you guys, I'll let you know how this turns out.

I checked ALL of the fuses, both on the panel under the hood, and under the dash. I am totally lost on this one, I have no idea what it could be. I've checked everything and nothing is loose or anything.

Did you check the back up fuse sometimes that could be it, do you have an alarm maybe that can be it also, my problem was similar but my cluster and tail light would go out but I had a fuse problem it was the kill swtich the alarm causing it to blow and I just disconnect the kill swith and the tail lights work fine.

I do have an alarm, but this was before I got it. And it was before i did my swap too. I've checked ALL the fuses, and none are out.

the place that installed my alarm said they'll look at it for like $50 an hour or something crazy like that. I dunno if I trust someone to "look" at my car for a few hours to find a simple loose wire. ya know?

niiice!! Maybe someone can help me with my rex. Both my brake lights and horn do not work at all. But the weird thing is when is push on my brakes or horn, the door light comes on and it beeps. It only does it when I push on either one. I replaced the fuse under the main fuse box and it still does it!!! I do have an alarm so Im thinking it might have something to do with the aftermarket alarm. Can someone guide me closer to the light?

thanks
