is it possible to bore out a 58mm tb to 64mm? a friend, who is a machinist, just told me he tried it and it wasn't possible. i need to get a ls tb then bore it out, he said. proflow was the company i was gonna send it to. they said they can do it. so who is telling the truth? anyone done it?

 

Just buy a new/used ITR t/b, it's 64mm, no need to bore, fits right on. Also an ITR with few to no modification on a B16A adds great gains.

itr tb is 62mm not 64mm.
boring out b16 tb = $150
buying itr tb = $300+

 

you can bore out the b16a one (I guess you have a first gen)58mm to a 62 and use the type r butterfly. Or just buy a itr one for 100dollars.

 

On these B-series, the max you can go is usually 4mm over.

btw - the inner diameter of the ITR TB is 62mm
