Default Bored b16 or b18...

Would bore/sleeving a b16 to 84mm have the same numbers as a b18 or would it be a superior engine because of the better r/s ratio?This would most likely be for a turbocharged application...

i'd say stick to the b16.

turbo theory:" the higher your compression, the less boost you can run."

The only benefit I can think of for the bored B16 is revving higher because of the rod ratio. Then again not like it's superior to the B18, and you only want to rev that high if you're making power wayyyyyy up there.
