Bore Gauge and Micrometers??????????

any one know where i can get a high quality bore gauge that measures down to .0001 and a good accurate set of micrometers???
they will be used for engine blueprinting on hondas
willing to spend the money for good tools

One of the few micrometers that will give you consistent measurements to .0001" accuracy.

I prefer the Mitutoyo's as well. The approach feel of the spindle is linear and consistent. I can duplicate measurements with a Mitutoyo mic much easier than with one of the cheap mic's I bought that cost me $60 for a set of 3.
Did anybody hear about the infraction Mitutoyo committed when they consciously violated nuclear weapons equipment regulations? They developed software for their CMM's that diluted their precision capability so that it wouldn't be a watched item for exports. The current and former CEO were arrested two years ago, and although I haven't read anything about it, I heard that Mitutoyo products were boycotted by the US (no longer in effect?) and that their products were going to be at a shortage when the existing supplies ran out. Could just be rumors.
