Default Bogging, and rough idle problems

OK so it all started when my friend spun his Jetta and i turned around for him and hit a big lip on the road and bottomed out, whereupon i felt something in the gas pedal like a big chunk of concrete had hit it....Then for the next few days at certain throttle points the pedal would make a loud and feelable "click" and the engine had a slight ticking and a slight bogging at about 4,000RPM (the ticking happened at various RPM) But today i went for a drive and after a hard acceleration it bogs at almost all RPM (it seems to bog when the ticking noise is audible which is most of the time now.) and also after driving today my car barely holds an idle, fluctuating from 0-1k RPM. It stalled on me once. Also the engine and whole car is VERY shaky and the whole car lurches around clumsily at low RPM, enough so it was incredibly embarassing. While looking around my engine bay, the ticking seems to be coming from around the I/M area, and while the car is running if you remove the #2 cylinder plug wire there is virtually no change in idle or how fast the RPM climbs. i believe i'm going to allow myself to be raped and take it to the dealer tomorrow since i don't have time to work on it due to baseball. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I am going through oil very fast, not losing oil, just using it up and turning it black fast. (engine is a 95 LS w/ roughly 130k)

id do a compression check
it could be that #2 cylinder
hope you find the problem

update: i took it to the dealership today where upon i barely made it and when i was in the parking lot pulling in it stalled twice. They come to find that the electrodes on the number 1 and number 2 spark plugs have been mashed down , they change all four and those two get mashed again. so they wanna charge $600 just to take off the head and change the headgasket, more less what is really wrong w/ the engine. Also my oil pan is dented in.

that sucks ***. When you say it doesnt hold any idle do you mean the tach jumps up and down or just stalls out?

yes look at the electrode, and yes the tach goes from 0-1k not irractically, but just fluctuates. sometimes it will die

Damn all they did was change the head gasket? I'd think you'd have some mashed up valves as well. Shitty man have a beer

I think checking the compression is right but I would also check the timing to see if the timing belt jumped.
