Default bogg at full throttle

i just swaped over to obd1 and whenever i go wot all the way on the gas the car boggs or more like cuts off. if i let off right away it is fine unless i go 100% on the throttle. this is all thru the range whenever i floor it. if i go 0-90% on the gas i have no problem. what could this be. i was told that my car would not run if i didnt switch my tps wires so i did. im running a z6 in my 89 hatch. please help.
