Default Blown two ignition coils in two months !?!?

I've got a supercharger B18 w/ a AEM EMS. Ran the car supercharged for about two years with no problems. Installed the AEM and about two months later the ignition coil failed. Figured it was just a mantenence issue. But about a month later (yesterday) I blew another coil (OEM new). It was mentioned that the coils could be going bad from excessive heat. But why would this problem just now start to show up after two years? Has anybody else had or heard of ignition coil issues. Any recommendations for going to an external coil setup?

Integra-modder has had issues with the ignition coil with the EMS. Talk with AEM EMS support about this.

When you replaced the coil, did you apply Di-Electric grease to the bottom of it??..

this is a simple thing that WILL fry coils if they're no good... have you tested for an open plug wire?

just use an ohmmeter and measure the resistance of the wires. i THINK it's supposed to be somewhere around 5k-15k ohms. someone please correct me and get the right numbers...

if the resistance is within specs, the wires are ok. if the resistance is shown as 0L or fluctuates wildly, the wires are no good, and may be a very likely cause of the blown coils.
