Default blown head gasket?

Is oil in the coolant resevoir and bluish white smoke from the exhaust under hard accerleration and high rpm's definetly signs of a bad head gasket on a d15? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

really depends on how severe it is. Do you feel a loss in power?

Should be ok just driving to and from work that short distance. Just keep an eye on your oil. And if you have to you're only looking at around $70 in parts to do the headgasket (bare minimum: new headgasket, can of copper spray, gallon of coolant, oil and filter).

It only overheats after driving for about ten minutes and even then it doesnt peg, the needle just goes up almost to the max but it never pegs out. There is a little loss of power, mainly a bad miss, but after I changed the fouled plugs it runs fine again for about another 100 miles or so then plugs are fouled again.

Since you going to yank this motor out anyway, you can tried a can of K&W block seal. Just follow the instructions and put it in the radiator. Make sure you follow the instruction because if you do it wrong, it will clog your radiator. It has work in many of my customer car and it will help stop the miss. Since you only used to drive to work, it should help you out for the time being.
