bleeding clutch
ive got a 92 civic and i wwent to bleed the clutch, opened the bleeder, pushed down the pedal, closed the bleeder, lifted the pedal back up, repeated for about 20 min, but never got any pressure. there's fluid in the resevior that doesn't move. i figured my master cylinder was dead so i got one from a junkyard went home and pulled mine out and it works fine. i compressed it and fluid squirted across my driveway. if there was a clog i think i get resistance from the pedal, and if there was a leak the resevior would empty and i see it pour out somewhere. i have no idea where the problem is and quick help would be appreciated
take a piece of vaccum line and atach it to the end of the slave cylinder bleeder valve. run that hose up to the cluch reservior and let it sit in it. make sure you have plenty of fluid in it and open the bleeder. keep pushing on the pedal untill there are no more air bubbles in the reservior tank.
