HI Guys,

If someone on here can please help me....

Looking at putting an F20B into the rear of a customers Mini, can anyone please confirm whether the H22/F22 billet alloy engine mounts fit the F20B engine???

I have emailed places like Ichiba and asked then to measure the holes spoacings but all I got back was "sorry, too hard, buy them and find out for yourself - you can always return them"....(WTF)!!

It seems like customer service is a dying art these days!!

So, nobody has used billet alloy engine mounts for a H/F-series on this forum....???

 

Not in the rear of a mini. I'm sure this question can be answered with a quick Google search. Let me know if you want me to do that for you.

 

Forget about where the mounts are fixed too, I need to know whether all billet H-series mounts fit F-series engines.....

The rest is up to me!!

I don't know why you aren't calling the manufacturer of the mounts DIRECTLY for the information OR searching.

 

Yes they are the same mounts.

 

Well its quite simple really - Avid are saying yes they fit, and Ichiba are saying no they dont. Yes, I have used Google and written to both producers hence why I am posting this here you condescending ***!!

And with regards to contacting the manufacturers direct - Simply, I have asked them to supply the mounting hole dimensions so I can verify myself - and the result (shock: horror when they do actually get back to you with the information) is that one mount fits and two mounts dont (and this is supposed to be a F-/H-series mount set).....

So, what you 'dont get', is that I am gathering more information to sort out the wheat from the chaff so to speak.

In short grumbleass - dont reply again unless you have something worthwhile, positive and first-hand factual to contribute instead of just pointing everyone to Google which is obviously where you got your education....

Next time, try listing all that info, you failed to give us, IN THE FIRST POST!! Otherwise you come off as an ignorant helpless user. And everything I read said they fit using that Google search. Everything I read here on H-T said that they work. And I don't see anywhere in this post where anyone said that they had first hand experience using them. You're assuming. If the manufacturer says they fit, because they MADE them, and some dumb distributor with CS reps that don't know anything about the products they are selling says they DON'T, who are you gonna believe? Apparently neither since you were moved to the point of inaction.

I thought I gave you strict instructions to not contribute to a thread unless its meaningful. Oh well, it just goes to show you cant follow instructons either!!

But, while I have you - so, YOU have fitted billet engine mounts to YOUR car and can provide POSITIVE and FIRST HAND experience on how they fit - is this correct??

And mate, look at the second post, I asked if anyone has used them, not whether anyone has an opinion or would like to contibute hearsay or conjecture, or like some on here, if they have been educated by Google!!!

So, once again, to anyone who has actually used billet engine mounts for a F-/H-series engine, will they fit a JDM F20B???
