wow I am sure an ls motor doesnt put anything more than 125 hp to the wheels stock. IF he is claiming 205hp from your ls, then damn thats a serious increse. This will not do well here.

Good luck to you though!

he is going to shave the head to bump compression to 11.1 port polish cams larger valves and sprigs also bore out the manifold and throttle body

Did he rate you 200-205 at the flywheel or wheels? Even at the flywheels that is a huge increase for those mods.

If it's 200-205 hp, then it's about 165-170 whp. That is possible provided that everything is built. I assume it's N/A, so you need high comp. pistons, race P&P, big intake, header, exhaust, racing cat, TB, IM, cams, valves, ECU tuned, etc.

all i gotta say is look at the dyno charts online where gude tells how they increase wheel hp by 40-60 hp on a gsr. look closely at the numbers on the graph. his baseline is 127whp on a gsr. now thats extremely low number. its even low for a b16 so choose wisely i truly havent heard many good things about them like how they recondition damaged heads and sell them if their packages. it might be ok for some but i dont like repaired items. plus milling a head for higher compression isnt my thing since u cant undo milling.

Yea not to bash on Gude, but I have'nt heard the best things about him, although some people like him. Personally I would'nt ever mill the head, its the cheap way out, plus it throws off your timing marks

my main concern with this is that i don't blow the motor. especially the bottom end. thats why im not going to change the redline. will his package hurt or blow my motor up. usually blowing up an na motor is due to human error or just plain stupidity. need info

how come some people here don't recommend milling? does milling do anything else beside raise compression?

My friend had a Gude build on a D16Z6 ('92 SOHC VTEC Si). Don't get it! Everything's been disasterous since he got it back. The timing was never right, and couldn't be set right. The cams were manufactured wrong. The valves collided with the pistons at around 5,000rpm's. It's a huge P.O.S. now. To top it off, Gude basically told him he's screwed. They had their money already, they didn't care. **** em! (Can I say that?)

I was interested in one of the Gude packages myself, but instead of taking the plunge, I just bought a TB from them to see the kind of work they do. The workmanship was shitty at best, and they installed the throttle cams incorrectly. My shop had to straighten the **** out which cost them time and me money. It saved me money in the long run though, because I researched there reputation on several boards (which agreed with my own experience), and I knew not to buy anything else from them.

it raises compression yet it also screws up timing and it can never be unmilled if you want to lower compression again. if your head warps it makes it hard to remill the head to make it flat.
