i have a 95 civic with a b18a1 swap and it just will not start up. my fuel pump isnt getting power and we think this is the problem. when it did start up though it would crank and shut off seconds later. were out of ideas and need help bad. thanx in advance.
find out why the fuel pump isnt getting power... check to see if the fuse is popped, if it is start tracing wires to find the short. i would imagine if you got it to start and it shut off seconds later it was just starting on the little bit of residual pressure and fuel that remains in the rail after the vehicle is shut off...
Do you hear your fuel pump cycle when you put the key to on position, you should be able to hear something running for about 2 to 3 seconds. If you do then your electrical is good, maybe your pump is ready to go.

the pump turns on but only every once in a while. we think its the fuel pump relay. could this be the problem or could it be the pump itself or both?
