well thats good, i mean, you can always have cams reground ( even tho people hate it)

i'm a fan of the y8 head cuz of the quench zones, less detonation prone and higher comp friendly....

plus you can always port a head to flow more.... PITA to add quench zones...

They do not make a head that is safe to an incompotent driver.... you are talking about when an engine is misshifted ie 3-2 instaed of 3-4 that can mess up any head and not jsut the z6 and y8 heads. I think honda would have done something about it if the head had a problem ! They make lots of parts that you can swap into the head that can let the engine rev higher and take more abuse...cams,valve train, ARP head bolts etc. The best heads for a D series are the z6 and the y8 due to the fact that they have V-tec and there are lots of parts made for them !

the best head is the one which achieves the results the tuner is looking for. mini me setups are a decent example.

vtec-E isnt vtec at all, as stated bout the delta cam running rough, that exactly how a domestic motor runs wen it has an aggressive cam profile. it will have a rough idle but performance wont suck

vtec-e is vtec, it just operates differently to allow the motor to burn super lean at low rpms. If you know how to work with it, vtec-e is almost as good as standard vtec.

Any aggressive cam grind can potentially run rough at idle in any motor. Ive just heard deltas cam runs crappy all over...not worth the money to get it.
