Best chassis to build?
Im in the midst of building/buying parts for a turbo build. I was originally thinking of putting this built engine in my 1996 accord when its all said and done and get it tuned and just run it on the weekends and frequent 1/4 passes. Not serious competition but the whole premise of the build was so i could bring a car of my own when my buddies hit the track on the weekends and have fun and learn. BUT as we all know accords are heavy, and dont exactly have the most aftermarket support so i'v been looking into getting a civic hatch shell off craigslist.
So the question..
What chassis is the best candidate? People mention EK's and EG's and i honestly have no idea what civics those are, i just know accord chassis codes :D. Is there a particular civic i should look into that has the most aftermarket support to safely and enjoyably handle a much more powerful engine?
Are civic hatchbacks that much BETTER than their 2 door and 4 door brothers? Because the hatches are definitely more popular in my area.
Thanks for any enlightenment!

The only big difference between an EG and EK is body style, year, and preference.
an EG/EJ describes a civic between 92 and 95
an EK is a civic between 1996 and 2000, but in 99 they did a slight body change to the front.
the Hatches weigh less then the other 2 models and thus make better candidates for racing...other then that the engine bays are near identical and mods are plenty abundant for either chassis.

Oh i'd love to. I love those 90-93 accord bodies.
So in a nutshell they just represent the generation, and any 91-2000 civic will be the same engine bay wise? Engine is a F22 so the same as an H22 swap without vtec.
But other than looks and weight differences they ALL have abundant aftermarket support? Suspension, cage, huge brakes etc...
