Default bent wheel?

I have some 5 zigen N1 R bekkets that suffered a fight with a curb. i know the wheel is cast and it is only the lip around the outside edge of the rim. it still holds air. my question is what do you thing about using a little peice of alummin flat stock and a hammer to get it back into shape. my theory is that the flat stock will bend before the wheel dose but i want to use a softer metal then the wheel so the force is not as blunt. and suggestions. sorry for typos. thanks for the help. sorry i didn't know which forum to put this in but you all are smart people. Thanks again

We don't know how much it's bent, so that's probably why nobody wants to really answer your question. I think those wheel-repair places use some hot-work to maintain the strength of the wheel.
