I have to constantly do valve adjustments. I have overrevved this head about 5 times missing 1-2gear. Idle rmps are fine but I can feel a slight bumpyness that vibrates the car. A small amount of oil is on the spark plugs and blue smoke comes out at high rmps under WOT and during deacceleration. Bent valves? Is this the cause of a noisy valvetrain and the need to do constant valve adjustments?

 

It is certainly possible. Compression and leakdown should be your next order of business.

 

have your head looked at. chances are the LMAs are getting tired... as well as your vavlesprings. the likelyhood of bending valves without bottoming out the tach on a mechanical overrev is less... so you might just have a beat-*** valvetrain. either way... you should buy new, set all camgears to 0 for now and throw on a new timing belt if its time... y0

 

it sounds like the LMA's needs to be replaced and the valves seals might need to be replaces also. I would take the head to someone that knows what they are doing and go from there. Good luck!
