Bent ValveS!!
it is a good ideal to measure the spring pressure after an event like that.
the retainers need to be inspected. after missing shifts and overreving like
that the springs tend to fatigue a bit due to the valvetrain bind that occurs.
if you reuse the parts, replace the retainers... check the installed heights
on the springs. what cams are we talking about here>? that makes a
huge difference in baking this cake. HG definately needs to be replaced.
$50 insurance policy. The valve guides could be replaced on the exhaust
side. have the valves re-lapped and checked... replace what is bent. if intake
are fine, keep em or go ITR> repalce the valvestem seals. I suggest ITR LMAs for running taller cams.
