Default Bearing removal?

Ok so im rebuilding my h22 transmision and I cannot seem to get the 2 bearings out that sit in the housing that hold the main and countershafts. Are they sappose to just slide out, or is there a trick to it?

Go to AutoZone or Pep Boys or someplace that loans tools and borrow a pilot bearing puller and the slide hammer that goes with it. They'll be out 2 minutes after you get home.

Plan on replacing the bearings after this though. Pulling them this way is hard on the races and can distort the bearings just enough to make them fail early in a spectacular fashion.

Fire will mess up the bearings even worse.

Bearing puller FTW.
