I'm trying to get some bearings sorted for my b18c block, but the problem i'm facing is that the markings stamped onto the block are unreadable, like I totally can't make anythign out of them. I also don't have immediate access to any proper measuring equipment. Is there any way I can work out the size of the bearings needed from the codes stamped on the old bearings? I know the size of the journals on the crank, and I still have my old bearings, so would it be possible?

Thanks guys!

not on the back or the front. look at the side[the thin part of the bearing].there should be a color on each side, green, brown, black. if you can see those then you dont need the markings on the block
assuming that the motor has never been opened up and there from the factory. if in doubt plastiguage them, never mind plastigauge them anyway

It appears that I have 2 black, 2 green and 1 brown (which looks a bit orangey, I assume it's brown)
