Battling OBDII
OK. Since my 96 is OBDII, is it possible to get the ECU chipped or reprogramed to get rid of the 7200 Rev Limit? I am figuring if I get everything that I am planning, then I should be able to get power past $7200 safely if I get rid of the limiter.
any ideas?
Thanks again.

Why do you want to raise your rev limiter? Unless you have cams and the kind of head flow that will make power above 7600rpm, there is no point in raising the limiter anyway...
You do not want to use a P28 ECU on a H22a, chipped or no chip. The P28 does not support control of the secondary intake manifold butterflies and worse, it does not have support for the knock sensor.
You also do not want to use an P72 ECU that is chipped for a DOHC VTEC B series motor as the ignition and fuel maps will not be good for an H22A. Your best option is a P13 ECU chipped to raise the limiter.
Does your '96 have the peak and hold injectors?

Pro Series Heads including full port and polish, comp valve job, new valve stem seals, resurfaced or milled up to .040, hot tanked and cleaned, Titanium retainers, comp valve springs, new valve stem seals, modified valve guides for high lift cams, polished chambers, over size stainless steel intake and exhaust valves
and I dont know what my injectors are..
No. OBDII is not programable.
Must convert to OBDI and use a hacked OBDI ECU.

OBD2 is reprogrammable, however it does cost quite a bit which makes
chipping an older ecu and getting an adapter harness, especially if you want
to get a new program later on in the future it will be much cheaper.
Check out the http://www.hondata.com site. They might be able to help you out!
ok... Hondata site says the p72 is the best swap for ecu..
So if I got a hondata stage2b (since I plan on running nitrous in the future)
and found a p72 and got the harness... that should be all i need right?
