Battery charging issue '99 civic
Hi folks,
I'm having some issues which i can't seem to figure out.
I have a b18c4 turbo '99 civic coupe. Since about a week the car has trouble starting. The battery is low on voltage but it wont charge properly.
The battery is relocated to the trunk, with 1awg cable, connected to where the old battery terminal was. The ground is mounted directly to the frame.
- Checked ground from battery --> Frame (seems fine)
- Ran new ground cable from the battery to the strut tower in the trunk, just to be sure
- Checked ground from frame --> Engine (All the cables are there, not corroded and resistance is less than 0.5 ohm)
- With the engine running, voltage is 13.8-14.3 on the battery terminals
- Tested the alternator output with a Fluke amp meter. From the alternator to the underhood fusebox its 20amps at idle. From the fusebox to the battery it's only 3 amps.
- Tested the battery with Midtronics MDX-650 batterytester with the following outcome:
* Battery OK, Needs to be charged
* 12,39v
* measured: 256 EN(A)
* Value: 360 EN(A) <--- this is what the label on the battery says
I hope someone can guide me to find this problem, unfortunately i don't have another battery to test with. And want to be quite sure before buying a new one.

From what I can see, you've done all you can do, EXCEPT buy a new battery.. sorry. Get something with some higher CCA capabilities
