Default Ball joint boots leaking grease...

I made a post how I am having trouble with my spring install, well during the process I have been disconnecting ball joints and as a consequence I have cut open the lower ball joint boot, as well as the one for the steering arm, not that much grease came out but I dont have the boots to replace and refill them with grease. How big of a problem is this? And I am eager to finish this spring install but how long can these be driven on before properly replaced and refilled with grease?

EDIT: On an EP3

Once the grease is gone you will get metal to metal contact which will wear the joint down. I would suggest replacing the boots and filling with synthetics joint grease. You won't see any damage while driving with damaged boots but long term effects will not be worth it.

Ok, well I guess I will have to replace them when I get back into town then...
