Balancing rods
for the reciprocating end and total rod weight as well as the pistons, its good to have them within a gram of each other. no, inline engines like honda do not need bob-weights to be added to the crank when balancing, its only used when balancing a v6/v8 crank

Don't know if it helps, but ITR rods are balanced so well that the weight difference is neglible!

The electronic scale I have is acurate to 1gram. This should be adequate for balancing right? Also, Where do you remove metal from a piston when balancing? Thanks
Both local builders that I've talked to recommended taking it out of the inside/bottom of the piston....providing that there's enough material there to work with to drill out a few spots.
