Default bad suspension?

i just bought a 97 honda civic cx and it has skunk2 coilovers. it is pretty low and does not have a camber kit on 17" rims. when i accelerate the steering shakes very bad. im planning on getting the tein type flex coilover system and putting some 15" rims on it. and i will try to adjust it to stock ride heighth. is this shaking from the big rims, bad camber, and not so good coilovers?

Sounds more like a tire is out of balance. Is there any damage to the rims? Shaking is not a symptom of anything you mentioned.
