Default Bad LMA's?

I recently pulled my head and had it cleaned but one thing I didn't do was soak the LMA's in oil before putting them in. I heard that this could lead to a loud ticking if you don't do it. I did the valve adjustment twice and am wondering that if it is the LMA's and they are ticking, are they also not going to be working properly?

If they're ticking they aren't working properly... Same thing happened with my LMAs, then I replaced them with H22 spring type LMAs, no more worries.

Could you tell if one was not working correctly if you pushed down on the vtec follower?

I have encountered one that stuck, but never a failed or malfunctoning lma.

I'm not 100% sure about the VTEC follower.

When my LMAs were bad, I heard the ticking (sounded like marbles rolling around in the head) until VTEC engaged, then the noise went away.. thats how I knew it was my LMAs. Mine were stuck.

Broke a valve spring, so it was a perfect opportunity to replace 'em. Didn't break anything, honestly I don't even think its that big of a deal... they're just loud and annoying.

I would replace with the Lude LMAs as soon as you get around to it though.
