bad cyl position sensor?
Can a bad sensor, be it cylinder position, tdc, or crank position, cause the engine to have a bouncy idle? Could it also be the cause for not being able to give in any gas when in gear (wants to die under ANY load)? Or would it not run at all?
Please help me out here if you can. I've been trying to get this thing to run correctly for 3 months now and I'm getting pretty depressed about it. I'm about ready to set it on fire.

yes, bouncy meaning fluctuating by a few hundred rpm, up and down.
The reason I asked is because Tom Payne at payne tech diagnosed my problem for me and said the idle problem might be cause by a bad ckp sensor, in turn causing the IAC valve to act up. It doesn't make sense to me, but the guy is supposed to know what he's talking about (if you know anything about the new crate motors about to go on sale, you can thank dart and Tom Payn. so the guy knows his stuff, but I'm a bit confused).
