backpressure and backfiring
b18c1 with dc header and n1 cat back muffler is 3in opening. when im driving i have so much backpressure its ridiculous. and when i slow down and puch it it back fires and when i donw shift it will back fire sometimes too. any suggestions out there

actually Backfire is cause by to much unburned gas and not enough backpressure. The 3in on a Naturally Aspirated car is useless unless you are planning to go turbo. If that is the case then you will just have to suffer with it for now.

when you go to a non standard exhaust setup, I have been told that it will
put more stress on your valves. if you havent had your valve clearances
reset in a while, I would suggest you do so. I believe this will help elliviate
your backfire issue off throttle when the engine returns to idle. sometimes
the basics are what makes or brakes ya. hope that helps.
