Default back up sensor connector missing?!?!

My friend bought a gsr, and the back up sensor connector on the engine harness is cut off and the two wires are just hanging there. Is there any reason why anybody would do this, and can we buy a new connector from acura or honda, or will we have to hardwire?

The connectors were probably ripped off. They tend to break right there. It would be a good idea to get some male and female connectors and splice them in there. Radio Shack should have them. Stay away from hard wiring.

Yea, thats what I had in mind, I guess I just typed hardwire. My friend said the wires were taped up. We couldnt find them at all, thought they were removed for some reason, but they were wrapped around the loom by the oil pressure switch. . .
