This is what I believe to be true:

"the B18 heads are the SAME ones that come on the b20's."

I'd appreciate it if people who really know could confirm.

B18C is a vtec head, all other b18 and b20 heads are all none vtec. so your answer would be no B20Z and b18C head is not the same at all.

Yup what DC said is right on both things.

 

Yes Dual Cams is right.

Also, there are quite a few B18C engines.. and their all VTEC..
-B18C = JDM ITR
-B18C1 = USDM GS-R
-B18C3 = JDM SiR-G (their GS-R I think)
-B18C4 = some kind of European Civic
-B18C5 = USDM ITR

Somebody correct me if I was wrong on any of those. I'm not very sure about the C3 and C4, but I think I'm right. But either way, the B20Z is in no way the same head as any of the B18C heads.

 

i hear the C4 is one of the best designed honda engines. too bad there hella hard to come across

I've also heard of a european B18C6.

 

B18C6 is the euro ITR engine
B18C4 could be the civic coupe vti engine (a B16A2 with an B18C block)

I think the C4 came in a sedan.. I can't remember if it had a single or dual runner intake manifold though.

 

I realize that we've gotten a lil off the main subject of this thread here but all this B18Cx stuff is pretty interesting. Here's some more info thanks to fellow h-t member Darkteg..

B18C4 - European Honda Civic VTi 1.8 (same motor as USDM GSR) 169hp.

B18C6 - European Honda Integra Type-R
