b20vtec timing belt snapped..help
so i just finished my b20vtec build yesterday..stock b20b bottom end..b16 head..itr cams..it ran fine yesterday..today i took the car into vtec...jus to hear the crossover didnt really drive in vtec at all..maybe a second..when i came out of vtec maybe 30 sec down the road my timing belt snapped..been reading a few post about bent valves..can someone let me know my chances of everything being ok or valves being bent....please help me
Pull the valve cover off and look for loose rockers. If all the rockers are tight put everything to tdc put a belt on and turn over by hand. If a valve is bent or broken or whatever the motor shouldn't turn over. If it does than go to a leak down test.
