Default b20vtec dowel pin problems! gurus wanted!!

im changing my headgasket on my b20vtec and I'm having a problem with dowel pins.

on the picture below, I circled the four places where dowel pins goes the the B20 BLOCK.

when I removed the head, there were only 2 dowel pins, the RED circles on this picture (intake side). now these two holes were oversized with a hand drill very badly; there is a huge slack when I put the dowel pins in these holes. As a result, when I put my head on the block, I can slide it back and forth a few millimetres. I'm afraid the head wont seat well if I put it back on like that.

NOW, I was thinking I could bring the head to a machine shop and have them drill the holes circled in YELLOW large enough and deep enough to accept my dowel pins there instead

is that a good idea?
will 2 dowel pins be enough?

thanks!

the two dowel pins are enough. If you have headstuds that helps with alignment as well.

Should have 4 dowel pins one in each corner of the head.

yeah but if you read my post, you'll see that the 2 dowel pin holes on intake side, on my head, were HAND DRILLED AND F*CKED UP pretty bad, when I put the dowel pin in there is a huge slack.

now the question is, should I bring the head to machine shop and have them drill 2 holes on EXHAUST side (circled in yellow on above picture) so it matches to the b20 bloc? this also means I'd have to enlarge the headgasket at this place to accept the dowel pins... is that a good idea or not? if not what should I do?

does that mean bring the head and headgasket to machine shop to have it enlarged, or does it mean "just run it as is"?

have the new or existing messed up holes drilled to a bigger dowel size.
movement of the head with dowels installed is unacceptable.
if you get the dowels done right 2 will be enough
