Default b20/vtec question

question.... when you use the dowel pins that have two sizes, the one's they sell on ebay so you don't need to machine the head to accept the other pins, Do you have to do anything to the headgasket? do you still use the oem gasket?

those are LS vtec dowel pins.

DROP in and go.. Nothing needs to be done to the head or the block.

golden eagle makes them.

i kno that you don't have to do anything to the head or block, other than thread the hole for the oil. i've built them before but i didn't use those pins. i'm wondering if you need to modify the headgasket to work with those pins or no.

No modding of the gasket is needed

These pins.. allow the new vtec head to accepted.. big side of the plug enters the head when you bolt it to the block.

The small side of the pin fit into the OEM hole on the block. Leaving only the OEM dowel pin size to be used with the gasket..
