Default b20/vtec???

Im putting together a cr vtec motor right now i have eagle rods, z 10 girlde and am planning on buying my pistons as soon as block is done at the machine shop getting sleeved, bored, honed, etc this is going to be a street motor and see occasional track use. Going to use stock b16 head for the time being and tune with vafc and 310s what compression do u guys think would be good for a street motor im thinking 11:1. Is the endyn breather kit a worthy investment? where can i get the arp head bolts ? do u think the compression will be ok on 94 oct? Do u think the stock head will be fine with this compression ? any help would be great
Thank you

11.5:1,
Is the endyn breather kit a worthy investment? -- Yes ... but i think you can make your own for a lot cheaper

do u think the compression will be ok on 94 oct? 11.5 wil be ok with 91 octane if you tune it right

Do u think the stock head will be fine with this compression ? yes. fine

Consider getting a Skunk2 intake manifold as well as some 2001 ITR cams.

And do a search..

If your block is sleeved...definately go 11.5:1 if you can get atleast 91 octane.

JG has some 11.5 shelf pistons, 84mm and 84.5mm (easier on the wallet)
right now i have my mind set on Endyn Roller Wave Pistons 11.8:1cr 84mm

So your gonna buy the pistons AFTER you have the block bored and honed? How are you gonna know what to bore it out to and finish hone it to?

everything you are doing sounds good. the b16 head could use a little work, the b20 bottom end needs more air than a b16 head will want to flow. also... what do you have to tune it with?? aem ems, hondata etc???? tuning is the key

You should have got head work done before a sleeving job cause the head is where the power is at, but oh well.

Get 11.5:1 pistons.

I got my arp's from summit racing for $115.
