b20 with type r head
Very common, it's really just a regular B20 VTEC. B16 heads and Type-R heads are both from the PR3 casting. The only difference from the heads is Type-R's have dual valvesprings to compensate for the higher lift and duration on the Type-R cams, and of course the cams. Also, '96 and '97 Type-R heads were hand p&p'd, but for the most part the heads are the same. My buddy had a regular B16 head with Type-R cams on a B20Z block, and the thing ripped, torquey for a Honda. Swap out those lame pistons for some P30 style 84mm pistons, and have yourself a beast!
