Default b20 in my integra

i recently purchase my 96 gsr, when i bought it, the guy who i bought it from, said it has crvtec, but i figured he was bullshitting. And it drove just like all the other gsr's i have driven, no faster no slower, same vtec kick in, same redline, same acceleration so on. Then when i steam cleaned it today, the transmission is stock, with the same vin as car, and the head is the gsr head, but the block says b20b4, what would be the chances that the block was changed, but their would be little or no difference in power, or performance, because i have put about 600 miles on the car in the last 2 weeks, and have driven quite a few gsr's, and it seems to drive no different? Does this sound odd? By the way according to carfax, everything is perfectly clean, odometer mileage is correct, just passed smog, everything is legit, any comments?

Well it all depends on how well the Engine was built, If the b20 was slapped together then a b18c1 should out perform it or atleast be at Par!

i was just wondering, if it was possible for a gsr motor with the b20 block could run the exact same, as a normal gsr motor?

The b20b will have more displacement but lower compression. The two might just cancel eachother out. If it's a stock bottom end I could see it running about the same.

you should feel more torque downlow, but shouldnt have the power uptop.

Its a low compression b20b, but never the less, you should still feel that nice torque down low.

go to http://www.importreview.com under the DYNO section.. but i believe the website is down at this moment... but there it has list of engin blocks with different mods/heads with pictures of the DYNo charts... and whats wrong with the b20vtec? a lot of torque right there... too bad its a frankenstein motor...

...yes its a B20 since he said so and the FACT that it says "B20B4" on the block..Honestly, you cant feel much* of a difference unless its unbelievably fast (fully built) but when it comes down to it, and your racing another GSR (with the same mods minus the B20 block) you will win (unless you suck at driving, no offence). i think my car is slow (well, it is but..) i spanked 2 evenly matched cars aready...
