Default B20 block and Ls head (what kinda results)

was thinking about getting a b20b cant find a b20z here. and throwing a ls head on it with an ls tranny what kind of power output do u think i can get out of that it will be in my 93 cx hatch... if anyone knows or has experience on this let me no.. i no the compression on the ls motor is higher so maybe it will put down more torque and power. also would like to know which would be a better ecu to use.

the LS and B20 heads are identical. dont wate your time swapping out the B20 head for a LS head you wont see any diffrence.

so how is the compression lower on the b20 and i thought that the head is where that would be changed at.

Use a B20 block and put on a B16B or if you are crazy enough, use a B18C5 head off the DC2R! There's around roaming the streets of New Zealand, and those things are fast. I know of one that has 160kw @ the wheels

get a b16 head or gsr head.

Remove B20 head, swap on LS head, now you have a B20 again...

b20 block b16c head is what i think the perfect combination the b16c out flows the b18c1 and b18c5 (which come stock port and polished) so therefor more airflow more torque and hp

but the ls head is not vtec which is the same head at the stock b20

The b20 has more toque, it should be the better engine. A b20b with lower compression may not be faster but I think its worth it in the end because its a stronger engine.

i can see it being a bigger engine but i dont trust cats on ebay to buy a b16 head for the ls vtec and im not sure how to run the oil lines either on that swap. i really dont want to blow another engine.

For anyone wondering, 160KW = 214.6HP
