i have a b18c5 swap with a kenji chipped p28 and am failing emissions inspections miserably... what do i need to do in order to pass? is it the ecu that's the problem or something else? my HC ppm and CO is off the charts (almost 3x the limit)
do i swap in any obd2 ecu? and does an 04 civic have a obd2 ecu?

get a chip that has closed loop enabled

 

Almost all programs (custom or cookie cutter) will not pass emissions. Just clip J1 and run on the stock SOHC VTEC program and you will pass emissions.

Or you can run the stock ITR ECU and that will allow you to pass emissions.
