Well, the time has come that im stuck between a rock and a hardplace. this 16mpg lifted cherokee just isnt cutting it. So here are my thoughts. At my disposal are:

complete b18b Shortblock
gsr shortblock with eagle rods/cp 9:1 pistons
gsr head with itr valvetrain
b16 cable tranny

I am picking up a gsr shell, and my thoughts were to build the gsr shortblock, with the gsr head, and try and find a hydro trans for real cheap (ls or whatever), because im hurtin for money. But i fear that the gsr shortblock will be a complete DOG with low comp pistons, and not boosted...correct?

So that brings me to this.. i also have a sc61, ramhorn (need to make wastegate flange), 44mmtial, greddy type s, plx r-500, and the oil sandwich.

Obviously, i am missing some of the turbo components still (piping, injectors, etc).... Im seriously just bearly scraping by currently. Would it be in my best interest, in terms of just getting the car on the road to just throw the low-comp gsr in, and deal with the complete lack of oomph, or turbo it, and sell my soul, and whatever random nitrous kits, and parts i have kickin around?

 

id sell the b18b block.. to someone like me.. and then use the money to complete that turbo kit of yours.. or just take it a step further and go ls/vtec turbo.. u can use the stock internals on the ls as long as you are not trying to make huge hp #'s..

 

the b18b is not actually mine, but my bros (going off the bootcamp, said i could use it, but obviously cant sell it and profit), but he said hes looking to sell it himself,. its a complete shortblock minus oilpan, ready to go... throw me a pm offer if your intersted. said to have approx. 45k
