B18c head & b17 bottom. Possible???

B18c head & b17 bottom. Possible???

My friend is needing new cylinder head and I happend to have a couple laying around. He has the '93 GS-R. What do think guys?

Yes! It will work and it's a good combo too when used with a Skunk2 manifold (for a GSR/P72 head). I hope this guy has changed the stock B17A pistons for something better if he's planning to stay NA.

Thanks Katman.We were kinda worried at first cuz I heard using b18 on a b16a bottom is not possible.

nah it is possible, as long as you use a Skunk2 manifold on that GSR head, everything will be cake.

Can he use the cap caps from the b17 head.

yes he can, but it's best to keep the orginal cam caps (journals) with the respective head. But if you don't have those...i understand.
