Default B18a1 idle issue

My EF with a b18a1 swap idles crazy high. Even after its been warmed up and driven it still idles between 1500 and 2000rpm. Ive been reading about the IACV and could it be the reason the car continues to idle high? Tommorrow im going to be cleaning it and checking to make sure everything is tightened down. But ive been reading and while nobody says for sure, the IACV can be the cause of a high idle cold, but at running temp. also?? While im not 100 percent sure yet could this cause it to idle that high??

Also, the motor doesnt have the stock intake on it. On the a1 there is a hose that runs from the back of the thermostat housing to a port on the intake manifold close to where the throttle body bolts up, but my intake manifold doesnt have that port and the coolant hose is just blocked off. Any help as to what that hose is run to the intake mani for? Thanks for the help
