No no no. You asked if you could put a hydro tranny on a B18a1. We said Yes. Now it sounds like you want to put the original cable tranny on with our suggestion(hydro clutch, flywheel, pressureplate). In an Ek I would suggest the hyro tranny no matter whta block is used.

the only thing you need to change in order to swa tranny's is the clutch disk, everything else will bolt right up.
and if the cable tranny is '92 and up they are plug and play; spline is same size as hydro tranny's

Um.. to jump in if I may...

I have a 1990 B18a engine. It came with tranny parts expect tranny itself (i.e. clutch, pressure plate, etc.). Will I be able to bolt up a hydro tranny or will I have to buy new parts? Hate having to buy parts I don't need...

well...im pretty sure you would want to buy a clutch for an engine with so many years on it..
but besides the point, you would have to buy a clutch disk to be able to use a hydro tranny.

The dude CLAIMS he put a new clutch on it before it was removed form the car so it's going to be wasted. The car was in an accident so they removed everything. Would I also have to remove the pressure plate, etc.? or just clutch plate?
